Writing data files to a CD

Insert a CD-R, either a blank one or a previously used one. This (see left) may appear, in which case choose Open writable CD folder and click OK. You may also tick Always do the selected action if you don't want to be asked this again.
This is what you will see if you inserted a blank CD.
This is what you will see if you inserted a previously used CD.

Now, open another window and drag any files you want to write to the CD to the CD window.

You can also drag entire folders if you wish, in which case the contents of the folder and any sub-folder(s) will all be copied.

You can right-click in the white area of the CD window if you want to create new folders, delete files (before you write them to CD-R) and so on.

Finally, click Write these files to CD.

If  you write a file to a  folder that already contains a file of the same name, the file already on the CD will be lost.

Files cannot be deleted from a CD-R; you can add files as often as you like, but the disc will eventually fill up.
